Calling out hateful and dumb speech by your own party doesn’t mean you lack character - it means you *have* character.
And Vin Candelora has a lot of it. Good for him. And good for us that we still live in a state where unlike DC politics doesn’t need to be a zero sum game 24/7.
@CTIronman I genuinely don’t know what this group or the mayors/fs group I put together last year will come up with
And I can’t speak to what happened when I was 4
What I can tell you is that my goal is to try to find consensus on how to finance muni govt more sustainably than we do today
Shout out to Netflix for making opening day special and ensuring that the picture quality of this game is somehow worse than AOL dial up internet in 1999.
Towards the end, I hated smoking but I frankly didn’t think I could ever quit.
So if you're still smoking and want to quit but worry you can't, just know that you can… and it’s worth it.
Nine years ago, I quit smoking. It’s one of the hardest things I've done in my life, and I did it way later than I should have, especially since it's what my dad died of.
But as the anniversary came and went this weekend, I was thinking about how glad I am every day that I did.
Hey Connecticut, I'm running for reelection.
I'm proud of what I've gotten done as your Comptroller, and I want to keep working to solve tough problems and make our state a better, more affordable place to live.

Honestly, if we can’t objectively agree that under-trained masked agents shouldn’t be policing American streets and sowing needless tension with zero accountability to local laws & law enforcement, then we are entering really dangerous territory as a country.

You can't say you care about affordability and then let the health care premiums of millions of working class Americans double.
But yeah, that's what happened today.
BREAKING: The Senate rejected legislation to extend Affordable Care Act tax credits, as costs are set to rise for millions of Americans in 2026. https://t.co/qSylIA0sm2
Someone just texted me "the Meadows is back."
But honestly, if you're from CT and of a certain age, the Meadows never left.
Love the official throwback, though.
Not surprising when:
1. Health care is too expensive
2. People can’t find or get into primary care doctors easily because of the shortage
3. Mental health is still very stigmatized and there aren’t enough clinicians even if it wasn’t
DC won’t fix. CT can and must.
A. The premiums of 138,000 CT residents double on Jan 1 without this
B. Most can't afford that and will go back to being uninsured
C. They will still get sick and seek care
D. Those costs get passed on to you
E. Health care gets more expensive for all of us than it already is
