I'm grateful to @GovNedLamont's steady focus on drug affordability - and for his strong partnership in our bipartisan Rx affordability legislation.
Connecticut is now leading the country - this is the first law of its kind, now saving real money.

Drug price increases are out of control. Last year, I took on Big Pharma and wrote a law that limits generic price increases to inflation.
Drug distributors sued.
TODAY, the Second Circuit Court of Appeals upheld our law, a HUGE win for @AGWilliamTong and consumers everywhere.
PROMISES MADE, PROMISES KEPT.
@NYTimes: 'The Trump administration cut legal immigration in half early this year with policies blocking visas for immigrants from nearly half the globe.'
As of October 1st, states must pay 75% of SNAP’s administrative costs vs 50% when the law was first enacted a year ago.
We asked several scholars who study the SNAP program closely to shed light on the implications these cuts will have on workers, families, and economic growth.
SNAP update: Another cut from the Republican reconciliation law takes effect today, cutting the federal match for SNAP administrative costs from 50% to 25%. Every state now gets half as many federal dollars to ensure SNAP gets to eligible families on time & in the right amount.
@1968F250CS That wouldn't help here. In fact, Connecticut is now incentivized to reduce administrative oversight of the program, which increases the chances of someone fraudulently receiving benefits
@WolfBBoehme Government programs can help survivors escape traffickers by reducing their coercive control. Cutting those programs effectively helps human traffickers.
Should we be surprised that Donald Trump - who protected Jeffrey Epstein and his associates - is once again revictimizing survivors of human trafficking?
Today the President kicked over a dozen lawful Connecticut residents who survived human trafficking off of their Medicaid.
Four young people taken by ICE at Tweed and Bradley in three weeks. No criminal records. All here legally. Held two to three weeks, then released, because there was never a case to begin with. Per CT Mirror, 800 have been taken at US airports.
Unfortunately for Republicans, the situation is very easy to describe:
1. Trump won a cost-of-living election
2. Then he publicly announced a plan to raise the price of imports
3. Then he even-more-publicly started a war that raised the price of gas
4. Meanwhile, he got rich on crypto scams, while engaging in downright Pynchonian misadventures with the reflecting pool and ballroom, which sent the unmistakeable signal that "I care more about random bullshit than America's money problems ... and also I'm not even good at executing on the random bullshit"
So I was just watching Fox News and this commercial played during Jesse Watters show. It says “Paid for by the US Government.”
This is clearly a campaign ad. And the singers are just singing over and over again, “Love me” - over images of Trump. @CBSMiami@CBSNews
FREEDOM FUEL HAS ARRIVED. ⛽️🇺🇸
The FIRST Freedom Fuel Network gas station has LANDED in Philadelphia, lowering the price at the pump to $3.47 for our 47th President.
President Trump is leading the charge to lower gas prices this summer - putting more money in your pocket. 🔥
He obtained a 🇬🇷 passport back in March and federal prosecutors didn't even ask the court to seize it or make him wear an ankle monitor?
He bought ✈️ tix in MAY and nobody did anything about it?
Were they waiting for him to buy giant billboards saying "I'm going on the lam?"
#BREAKING Kosta Diamantis has skipped the country and fled to Greece instead of attending his bribery sentencing (Diamantis applied for a Greek passport before his trial)
Prosecutors say he took a boat from Florida to the Bahamas and then flew to London
