We are pleased at the Saudi Critical Care Pharmacy Research Platform (@SCAPE_Platform) to share our new study titled “Evaluation of pharmacological thromboprophylaxis in critically Ill elderly patients: A multicenter cohort Study” published in Heart and Lung Journal

In this study, we assessed the effectiveness and safety of pharmacologic VTE prophylaxis in critically ill elderly patients . Our findings suggest that enoxaparin as VTE prophylaxis in this population may be associated with a trend toward lower major bleeding rates, though the difference did not reach statistical significance. Conversely, no meaningful differences were observed in thrombosis rates among critically ill older adults receiving prophylaxis. Additional randomized controlled trials are needed to validate these results and to evaluate long-term outcomes.

This study provides an in-depth analysis of current AI applications and future opportunities, offering a strategic roadmap for enhancing Hajj healthcare across four key pillars: (1)Patient Care (2) Healthcare Providers (3) Operational Management (4) Healthcare Systems
