We too often glamorize entrepreneurship it is not for the weary. Success comes with time & it is about staying power & enduring struggle

@AirbnbHelp @Airbnb I shared all of these issues with @AirbnbHelp and it is still unresolved. This host needs to be banned from the platform. You are putting guests at risk.

[Rahama Wright @rahamatuwright]

@AirbnbHelp @Airbnb stranded in Chicago because one of your hosts retaliated when we expressed concerns about their apartment and locked us out without any warning. We have an infant with us and @Airbnb customer service has been TERRIBLE!!!

[Rahama Wright @rahamatuwright]

@AirbnbHelp Also sent this message to the host regarding an issue with his remote control.

He is now saying our 9 month old chewed his remote.

Please tell me how an infant could do damage like this to a remote. @Airbnb please do a better job screening hosts, because this is not normal.

[Rahama Wright @rahamatuwright]

@AirbnbHelp I sent this message to the host. The next day he verbally asks us to leave and then changes the code to the apartment. All I asked for was a clean place. @Airbnb did nothing to help us. We had to find another place in a city with sold out hotels. 😳

[Rahama Wright @rahamatuwright]

@AirbnbKeit57363 Still has not been resolved. This is NUTS!! @Airbnb support is AWFUL!! If you are a traveling family you will be left to your own devices when an issue with a host happens. Hotels are sold out city wide because of the convention. We were completely abandoned by @AirbnbHelp

@bcorpuscan @BCorporation this company certainly cannot be upholding the values & mission of the B Corps community. What happens to certified companies that fall short of your mandate for a more inclusive world that values and honors all people? @ErewhonMarket

I wanted to share some of my thoughts on today's Supreme Court decision on affirmative action:

[Jemele Hill @jemelehill]

34 percent of Harvard students are white. 43 percent of those students are either legacies, children of faculty, kin of donors or a recruited athlete. 75 percent of them would not have gotten in if not for special status (National Bureau of Economic Research).

But when in doubt, blame the Black people!

“But over the past 40 years, archaeologists, linguists and historians have come to see Swahili society as predominantly homegrown — with outside elements adopted over time that had only a marginal impact.”

Happy New Year.

I wish you all the very best for 2023.

May our many differences - be it class, caste, gender, ideology, religion, or race - fade in significance as compared to the great primacy of our shared humanity.

Think of one person you want a closer relationship with in 2023 and make an effort to achieve that.
