@MTNNG, this is unfair, my first pics shows a data of 5GB bought at 12:38pm yesterday which I was unable to use (not activated)
I called your customer care rep, yesterday at 2:58pm & promise to raise the ticket shown on the second pics to the technical team to credit my data...

Data within 24hrs, up till this moment, no data was credited and I called again today which your CSR picked today and said it is still pending and I have to wait again within 24hrs again, making 48hrs.
I need the data to work and you have been doing nothing on it.
Unpopular opinion:
A lot of backend systems don’t break because the code is bad, they break because we made them too complicated too early.
I’ve been on teams where we brought in queues, caching layers, event-driven stuff and the product barely had traction.
Leave room to grow, sure but don’t create problems you don’t have.
Curious how others approach this:
Have you ever had to simplify a system that was clearly over-engineered
What’s your personal trigger for saying “okay, now we actually need to scale this properly”?
In the next 30days, I will be here ranting about @AirtelNigeria If they fail to deliver as expected.
In a nutshell, I am moving from Starlink to Airtel NG.
Let's see how it goes even though their installer has been disappointing since I paid for the device.
