The vast, untamed wilderness of the Masai Mara unfolded like an endless dream beneath a furious dancing sky. There, dead in the centre, a lone cheetah sat motionless. King of speed, master of the wind.
Such are not mere photos. They are windows to another world, the kind that command place on living room walls and refuse to be forgotten.
While others hunt tight closeups, this frame hit me hard. Adrenaline rushing through my veins the instant I clicked the shutter and surged again as I processed it last evening. I remember smiling at the lit up mac in front of me while staring at the photo.
Be Wild. Live Wild
In the golden haze of Mara, a cheetah exploded into flight.
Barely touching earth beneath its paws, each stride a thunderbolt carved from wind and muscle. Fingers fumbled across the camera, cold and numb, while the heart slammed against ribs like a caged storm. Breath locked in the throat half prayer, half scream as the world narrowed to a single blur of spotted lightning.
The chase turned cinematic and savanna grass bowed in reverence. The cheetah didn’t run it flowed, a living arrow slicing through the wind. Eyes hunted the frame and the soul hunted truth. Is this real? the brain begged, while the heart already knew the answer and wept with joy.
Then muscle memory seized the moment.
Shutter fingers danced on instinct. Click after click each frame captured the heartbeat of the wild as my dream came true.
Finding an EV charger on your long road trip and checking whether it is available or not in real time has become quite smooth now. Just follow these simple steps to plan a bit in advance, and you should be good to go: 🧵
Dear @RBI: Do not let the psychology of Rs 100 per dollar determine your policy response. 100 is just a number, like 99 and 101. Whether the oil shortage is short-lived or long-lived, the right response at this moment is to let the rupee depreciate. 1/6
No one is talking about it but I will. The Tiger deaths near Satpura in Madhya Pradesh are because of illegal opium farming. They are killing tigers so that their field workers don’t get scared. While this is happening the reasons given by forest department for not tracking even collared tigers is that US has jammed the signals caz of US- IRAN war. You read that right.
Horrifying news coming from Haridwar’s Shyampur range, poachers poisoned two two year old tiger siblings, severed their legs, and were about to skin them for the illegal trade.
One Van Gujjar, Alam alias Ammi, has been arrested, while three others Amir Hamza, Ashiq, and Juppi are on the run. The mother tigress remains missing as forest teams scour the area.
The carcasses were found Monday evening and Tuesday afternoon near Sajanpur beat. They had laced buffalo meat with poison as a method to poach.
In the golden grass under the beaming sunlight she appeared without fanfare or warning, a flicker of motion slicing through the tall grass, tufted ears alert against the sky, eyes like polished amber catching the bright light. A sight so rare it feels scripted by the gods of chance, a fleeting frame in nature’s epic drama. One moment the grassland is empty, alive only with the calls of hidden birds. The next, this sleek phantom of the grass pauses, regards the world with quiet sovereignty, and melts back into the thicket-leaving you with nothing but the echo of WOW!
Our Tadoba tour got over a couple of days back after sighting 16 Tigers, leopard, bhalus, 60 different bird species and the elusive Jungle cat. Sharing a random image out of 100s which I shot.
Africa- Masai Mara + Amboseli trip from 24th to 30th May group is already set with amazing energy. A nice couple just confirmed, so we now need exactly 2 more people to fill the last seats in the jeep. Spots won’t last long, DM me if you or a friend/ family wants to join the fun!
In the shadowed heart of Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve, where ancient teak forests whisper secrets to the wind and deep lakes mirror the fierce dance of survival, there reigns a silent sovereign-an unsung empress whose stripes etch the very legacy of the wild.
She is Choti Tara. The Little Star. Daughter of the legendary Tara, whose name once thundered through the bamboo thickets like a storm. Born into royalty, Choti Tara inherited not just her mother's regal gaze and unyielding grace, but a destiny far greater: to weave her bloodline into the soul of Tadoba itself.
Through the monsoons that flood the bamboo thickets and the scorching summers that crack the earth, she has prowled with quiet fury. Earlier a collared queen, tracked by human eyes yet untamed in spirit, she has raised litters amid roaring rivals and territorial wars. From the mighty Chota Matka, her fearless son who commanded vast domains with thunderous roars, to the bold daughters Roma and Bijlee, whose lightning strides echo her own, her progeny stalk these lands in numbers beyond count.
Most tigers in Tadoba today carry her fire in their veins. Her genes pulse through the reserve like hidden rivers, fueling the sightings that draw breathless pilgrims from afar. It was she who, in shadowed silence, transformed Tadoba into a realm of near-certain wonder: "Visit these sacred woods," the whispers go, "and you shall not return without beholding the striped thunder."
Yet, while flashier legends steal the spotlight, Choti Tara endures as the true architect, the absolute queen who built an empire not with roars, but with resilience. An elder matriarch now, her worn canines tell tales of battles won, her strategic hunts a symphony of survival.
The jungle knows her glory. The wind carries her name through the leaves.
But the world beyond? It is time the shadows lifted.
Rise, guardians of the wild. Let the tale of Choti Tara echo across the earth like a primal drumbeat. Share her story. Make her famous. For in honoring this hidden empress, we honor the beating heart of Tadoba itself.

What we really need is a new dedicated IIM (and IIT) in Pune! A pending demand for many decades.
Not expansion campuses of IIM Mumbai and IIM Nagpur (see news story below).
Pune is among the top 3-4 industrial and tech hubs of the country... with huge demand for top management and engineering graduates and researchers.
But unfortunately, successive governments over the past many decades have 'allocated' IITs/IIMs/AIIMS/etc... across geographies and states - not based on real market, industry and population needs! Pune (being a 'non state capital) has always ended up on the losing end in this 'allocation'.

बधाई हो… Bharat’s cheetah family is growing and so is our MP’s pride!
Our first India-born cheetah Mukhi has blessed Kuno with five cubs.
A proud leap for Project Cheetah and a beautiful, unprecedented breakthrough that strengthens our nation’s wildlife heritage.
Expensive real estate destroys demographics. Any society that traps its young people in debt, because of expensive education or expensive housing or expensive health care (or all of the above in many cases) is a society that is destroying its own demographic future.
If you love children, enable lower cost of living for prospective parents.
At 4 pm driving with my wife on the Zirakpur flyover. Two Punjab Police jeeps escorting a VIP towards Ambala come from behind with sirens blaring. Slowed the vehicle to let the first vehicle pass, the VIP vehicle perhaps took three additional seconds to pass because there was heavy traffic. Angered, the rear escort jeep, while overtaking from the left, deliberately cut sharply right, hitting the front of my car and then sped off. It was clearly a deliberate act, not only damaging the car, but with no concern of our personal safety on a very crowded road. The arrogance and impunity of someone who is supposed to be a guardian of law soils the uniform and reputation of the organisation. Hope @BhagwantMann and @DGPPunjabPolice take note.
