Rahul Gandhi Power Cut Yojana (RGPCY) is in full swing. Keralam remains in the dark.

While the UDF government and its leaders celebrate “people-first” freebies and record GST collections, ordinary Malayalis are still dealing with evening and night power cuts. Demand soared, hydel generation suffered from poor inflows, and the state remains heavily dependent on expensive external power.

Blaming the previous government for cancelled long-term PPAs may be convenient, but it does not light a single bulb today. Governance is about securing reliable supply, planning for peak demand, and prioritising infrastructure over pure populism. Slogans and circular-flow theories do not generate megawatts.

This is the real face of the Congress model currently on display . Welfare announcements first, energy security as an afterthought. The people sitting without power are paying the price.

The landslides in Wayanad have saddened us all. Since the tragedy unfolded, I've been closely monitoring the situation. The Central government has mobilised all resources to assist those affected. Today, I went there and reviewed the situation. I also undertook an aerial survey.

I assure everyone, especially those affected, that all possible support will continue being provided. We all stand with the people of Kerala during this challenging time.

I also met officials and those working at the front lines to thank them for their service in challenging times. As soon as we receive detailed information from the Kerala Government, the Centre will take all necessary steps to assist in rebuilding essential infrastructure, including schools and homes, in the affected region.

Never felt time fleet by, till this walking encyclopedia of finance dropped me off in Aluva. I stood to gain quite a bit, in terms of know-how.
