India’s private defence company Nibe Limited successfully tested the Suryastra Universal Rocket Launcher system with 150 km and 300 km strike-range variants in Odisha’s Chandipur test range.
The trials achieved very high precision with a Circular Error Probable of around 1.5 to 2 meters, showcasing strong long-range strike accuracy.
The Suryastra system was developed for the Indian Army under an emergency procurement programme to strengthen indigenous defence capabilities.
The rocket launcher is designed to enhance India’s deep-strike and rapid-response warfare capabilities while reducing dependence on foreign systems.
