Here’s how I got my technical skills up to speed:

1. I was obsessive about projects. I built an app for building decks for magic the gathering. And an app to track my ping pong games with my friends. And an app that was a fully functioning Pokédex.

2. I talked with friends to know what to expect and studied those algorithms. Big O notation is critical!

That’s all I did. No grinding my face off on worthless problems that don’t provide any long term value!
