🚨 SAFETY EMERGENCY, HYDERABAD 🚨
I am a practising architect — and I can say this professionally: no building in this condition can be certified complete.
Yet Ace Amura, Pocharam has been granted an Occupancy Certificate, while the building looks like this:
• Lift shafts: OPEN, lifts not installed
• Waste chute shafts: OPEN floor-to-floor, debris dumped inside
• Electrical & plumbing ducts: OPEN, no fire-stopping at any slab
Under NBC 2016, unsealed vertical shafts are a chimney for smoke & fire. And these are open pits right next to homes where families with small children are ALREADY living.
So I ask, on record: if a child falls into one of these shafts, who is responsible?
– The builder who handed over possession?
– The architect/engineer who certified "completion"?
– The officials who issued the OC without a real inspection?
@CouncilofArchi1 — if a registered architect signed this completion certificate, is that not professional misconduct under the Architects Act, 1972?
We demand:
1. Immediate barricading of every open shaft
2. Physical re-inspection of the building
3. Review of how this OC was issued & action for false certification
4. Lifts installed & licensed, fire-stopping done, services completed — before this OC stands
