I would like to bring to your kind notice the economic loss due to bad roads and the damage to the 𝟒𝐭𝐡 Bridge, resulting in ₹𝟮𝟯 𝗰𝗿𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘀 of monthly loss to the people of Jammu.

On average, each household owning a vehicle is now spending ₹𝟭,𝟬𝟱𝟱 more per month on fuel due to the reduction in mileage from 𝟭𝟱 km/litre to 𝟭𝟭 km/litre.

For the city as a whole, with approximately 𝟮.𝟭𝟵 𝗹𝗮𝗸𝗵 vehicles, this translates into an additional ₹𝟮𝟯.𝟬𝟴 𝗰𝗿𝗼𝗿𝗲 per month in fuel expenditure.

This comes at a time when the region is already under economic stress ,first from the Indo-Pak skirmish in May, then the floods of August–September, and a sharp fall in tourist inflow. The added fuel cost has become yet another setback for the local economy.

Assumptions:
a) Fuel cost taken at ₹𝟵𝟲.𝟳/litre
b) Taken 𝟳% as Jammu’s share of total vehicles in J&K and factored 𝟮𝟱% extra vehicles in Jammu owing to urbanisation.
c) Average mileage derived from the national average (diesel + petrol combined) and reduced milage basis feedback from car owners

Not taking into consideration man-hours wasted in traffic, wear and tear of vehicles, or the impact on the environment.

1500 families. 4 Jammu Districts. Flood Relief Aid.

The rains this year wreaked havoc in the Jammu region. Being there got to witness the devastation caused in Jammu city neighbourhoods. From what started as talking to those affected, receiving messages about the worse hit remote and hilly areas, and a prayer to be able to help those impacted lead to the coming together of good people, support of JMC for Jammu city areas, generosity of so many donors, Impact Guru Foundation, & Varun Beverages, mobilisation of Voice of Dogras and the able guidance and direction of Ajay Khajuria bhaiya , a measurable difference was made.
