Imagine a judge asking a toddler with NO lawyer if they agree to voluntary departure or want a removal order.
That's what the Trump admin is forcing kids—who are as young as 2 years old—to do in immigration courts. That's not due process. That's insane. These are KIDS. https://t.co/V342S9q1d3
On 30 September 2000, the world watched as Jamal al-Durrah tried to shield his 12 year old son, Muhammad, from Israeli occupation forces. Muhammad al-Durrah was killed that day, a child whose final moments, caught on camera, became one of the most searing images of the Second Intifada and of Palestinian history.
For Palestinians, this is not just footage preserved in history. It is a wound carried across generations. We recognize Jamal’s outstretched arm because it is every parent’s instinct, to shield, to sacrifice, to stand between their child and harm. We remember Muhammad not as an image, but as a boy with a name, a family, and a future that was stolen. His killing was not something we merely saw; it was something we absorbed, something that settled into our collective memory and never left.
BREAKING: JACK SMITH UNDER OATH: “Our investigation developed proof beyond a reasonable doubt that President Trump engaged in serious crimes against our nation.”
CNN is granted access inside an immigration court hearing where dozens of children facing deportation, some as young as three years old, appealed to stay in the United States. Many of them facing the judge without an attorney representing them.
This election we can’t allow them to tell us we can’t vote or that our vote didn’t count because this election is one of the most important in this Country’s history. So don’t take no for an answer.
Pope Francis’s dying wish was to donate his Popemobile to Gaza as a child clinic
Israel is still banning that clinic from entering Gaza more than a year & a half later!
The late Pope maintained a routine of calling Gaza’s Christian community every day during the genocide.
She was bought at fourteen by a man who assaulted her for five years and fathered two of her children.
When she finally fought back and he died, Missouri put her on trial — and the court ruled she had no right to defend herself. Celia. 1855.
Missouri law at the time said a woman could use deadly force to defend her honour.
Celia's lawyers argued that law covered her. The judge ruled it did not — because the statute said "any woman," and Celia was not legally a woman. She was property.
That was the finding. Not that she was lying. Not that it had not happened. That the protection did not extend to her, because she was a thing.
She was convicted and sentenced to hang. The state waited until she had given birth — the baby was stillborn — and then executed her in December 1855.
She was nineteen years old.
Her story is the kind of buried history that we must never forget https://t.co/V6OJtazidd
“Llevo conmigo una foto de un niño musulmán que en mi visita al Líbano sostenía un cartel que decía, Bienvenido Papa León y fue asesinado durante esta última fase de la guerra. No puedo apoyar la guerra."
¿Porqué hay gente que insiste en decir que no hay genocidio en Gaza? ¿Qué tienen en sus almas? ¿Miseria?
ICE killed another man. His name is Mario David Coronado Juarez.
Mario lived and worked in Michigan for 7 years as a construction worker, sending money home to his kids in Guatemala.
ICE pursued him in an unmarked car, causing a fatal car crash.
These killings have to stop. #AbolishICE.
Incredible. First @SecMullinDHS claimed that @DHSgov identified 15,903 noncitizens on Nevada’s voter roll. Then DHS officials said, no no no, that’s just people we flagged, here’s the names of 185 people we KNOW aren’t citizens.
All 185 were citizens. DHS got 100% wrong.
