🇬🇧 Jenson Button - McLaren MP4-23 V8

On March 22, 2011, Jenson Button made a historic appearance at the Mount Panorama Circuit in Bathurst, Australia, as part of a promotional event for the Australian Grand Prix. 

It was the first time an F1 car had been driven around the legendary Mount Panorama track. 

Button set an unofficial lap record for the circuit, clocking in at 1:48.8.

This time was obviously significantly faster than the traditional V8 Supercar lap records of that era.

In comparison a 2m 08.6812s was set by Greg Murphy in a Holden Commodore during qualifying for the 2011 Bathurst 1000.
