We’ve lost the art of just being like “hey man that was kinda uncool.” Everything has to be the biggest deal ever and people have to be groveling begging for forgiveness and apologizing profusely for every little thing. Sometimes a “yeah that was uncool my fault guys” is enough
Im looking forward to the film, but its understandable that many feel a bit skeptical, especially with how much our culture and life is either portrayed thru the Fil-Am lense, or just a backdrop to look pretty/poor
I get it. The film is SET in the Philippines, but will it actually FEEL like the Philippines - will the girls reflect how it is to live in the Ph vs it just being an aesthetic and waving around street food and jeepneys, and oh look were in Manila :D for brownie points.
this is gonna sound harsh but i hope this movie can also be relatable to mainland filipinos and not just filams. i hope this movie’s portrayal of the culture is not just tongue in cheek and is actually a lived experience of what it is here
