@DrDavidLAllen John Wesley affirmed women pastors because he witnessed firsthand how his mother, Susanna, was a much more effective leader on Sunday afternoons than his father was on Sunday mornings. She started her ministry primarily to benefit her family, but it soon spread to the community.
@KennyCecil_ Thank you for being "fully candid" about your soteriology. If every candidate was as forthright as you, the number of split churches would be dramatically reduced. I have heard dozens of horror stories because the recommendation of the Calvinism Advisory Committee wasn followed.
@PastorView@JaredCBurt How many women serve as deacons in your church? How many women have been honored for their leadership of great work and commended publicly by their pastor?
@PastorView@JaredCBurt Romans 16:1-2 NLT
[1] I commend to you our sister Phoebe, who is a deacon in the church in Cenchrea. [2] Welcome her in the Lord as one who is worthy of honor among God’s people. Help her in whatever she needs, for she has been helpful to many, and especially to me.

@BaptistBlogger Is there a valid and very important economic element in the background of the conversations about women serving in leadership positions in SBC churches and institutions?
Please read this very good news,"Romans 3:25-26 NLT
[25] For God presented Jesus as the sacrifice for sin. People are made right with God when they believe that Jesus sacrificed his life, shedding his blood. This sacrifice shows that God was being fair when he held back and did not punish those who sinned in times past, [26] for he was looking ahead and including them in what he would do in this present time. God did this to demonstrate his righteousness, for he himself is fair and just, and he makes sinners right in his sight when they believe in Jesus."

1 John 4:7-12 NLT
[7] Dear friends, let us continue to love one another, for love comes from God. Anyone who loves is a child of God and knows God. [8] But anyone who does not love does not know God, for God is love. [9] God showed how much he loved us by sending his one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him. [10] This is real love—not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins. [11] Dear friends, since God loved us that much, we surely ought to love each other. [12] No one has ever seen God. But if we love each other, God lives in us, and his love is brought to full expression in us.

A courageous and faithful pastor. The vast majority of Southern Baptists were 180 degrees out of phase with Scriptures for 150 years before they repented for support of chattel slavery and racial discrimination. There was always a small minority who knew what Christ-like love required, and they kept calling on the majority to repent.
1 Corinthians 12:18-22 CEB
[18] But as it is, God has placed each one of the parts in the body just like he wanted. [19] If all were one and the same body part, what would happen to the body? [20] But as it is, there are many parts but one body. [21] So the eye can’t say to the hand, “I don’t need you,” or in turn, the head can’t say to the feet, “I don’t need you.” [22] Instead, the parts of the body that people think are the weakest are the most necessary.

No, you do what the Bible tells us to Colossians 3:12-15 CEB
[12] Therefore, as God’s choice, holy and loved, put on compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. [13] Be tolerant with each other and, if someone has a complaint against anyone, forgive each other. As the Lord forgave you, so also forgive each other. [14] And over all these things put on love, which is the perfect bond of unity. [15] The peace of Christ must control your hearts—a peace into which you were called in one body. And be thankful people.
