My life changed today

If someone told me I'd be doing this a year ago, I wouldn't believe it but today?

When I saw that payment notification?

I realised the power of the journey that lies ahead of me

"Can't thank you enough for this!"

These were my clients exact words

Words from a language training business I worked with recently

I worked with them to:

• Identify their unique process
• Revamp the copy on their website
• Retain their voice and personality in the copy

They're happy.
They love the work.
I enjoyed the experience.

This is just the beginning of my career as a copywriter but I have gone about it a little differently than the advice I see here

I didn't engage with 100 accounts a day
I didn't send cold DMs like the brocolli bros
Money wasn't my focus (I didn't want another trap)

My main goal was to ensure that I work with people I like, projects that interest me and no b.s. from the client

It's a relatively slow path
It's not a 10k/month in 30 days scheme

It's about building the life I want doing the things I want

In the midst of it all I'm grateful for the different people I learn from

It began with @GrammarHippy and his community
(I had no clue about copywriting until then)

I was inspired by the way @AndrewWriteCopy approached copy - a proper student of the craft

and most importantly...

I realised it was possible thanks to people like @ItsKieranDrew

I learned a little bit from everyone and there are too many people to name but this is going to be a fun ride :)
