My dad explained and said “What do you get the girl that has everything?
Anyways please don’t have kids if you’re abusive narcissist. I’d rather be dead tbh.
Shoutout to my intrusive thoughts today. Thinking about the last christmas I had with my dad and while my sisters opened up deluxe barbie sets my dads one gift to me was a twin sized heated blanket. I slept on a queen at his house. I was confused what it even was…
1. Nex Benedict matters
Nex was a 16-year-old and non-binary
Nex was brutally beaten a high school bathroom in Oklahoma
The school did not call an ambulance or the police
Instead, Nex was suspended
Nex died the next day
Just me “essentially flashing my nipples” back in 2015… crazy to think back about how I was treated for dressing like this.
I’m so thankful for my community… but being a woman in the gaming industry fucking sucks.
@kaceytron N to mention 23% of our homeless is veterans. Those veterans are also using drugs and alcohol. You’re going to chock their struggle/addiction down to “poor choices”. Guess they made a mistake fighting for this country.
Kurt Vonnegut's 8 rules for writing that I think everyone should consider:
1. Use the time of a total stranger in such a way that he or she will not feel the time was wasted.
2. Give the reader at least one character he or she can root for.
3. Every character should want something, even if it is only a glass of water.
4. Every sentence must do one of two things—reveal character or advance the action.
5. Start as close to the end as possible.
6. Be a sadist. No matter how sweet and innocent your leading characters, make awful things happen to them-in order that the reader may see what they are made of.
7. Write to please just one person. If you open a window and make love to the world, so to speak, your story will get pneumonia.
8. Give your readers as much information as possible as soon as possible. To hell with suspense. Readers should have such complete understanding of what is going on, where and why, that they could finish the story themselves, should cockroaches eat the last few pages.
