@Yorkshire_Tales There was a conveyor belt of Leeds players to Rochdale when Eddie Gray became manager in 1986. That's definitely Simmonds, Steve O'Shaughnessy (back row number 2) and possibly Mark Gavin (front row number 4).
@jonnyrmitch The Chameleons influenced so many non-Manc bands e.g. Interpol plus Manc bands too. You can hear The Chams in the darker parts of the Stone Roses' first album e.g. Made of Stone/Tears & Adored/Swamp Thing.
@missrteach6 I've been teaching SPAG since the new tests came in (in 2016) and to put this in, at question 29, is insidious. I'd love to have been a fly on the wall when they wrote and agreed on the questions. What a grim bunch of people. Bet they're proud of themselves.
@SarahFarrellKS2 Thank you for posting this. I thought exactly the same. If they have to put a question like this in, at least make it question 50. I still feel that "stream" is implied at the end of the sentence and "across" could be argued to be a preposition.
@ShiiineOn_@inspiralsband If you got to Picc Records (in MCR) early upon release, you got a signed MOVE 12". The B-side is MOVE IN - one of their best. It repeats I CAN'T FEEL YOU MOVEEEEE and still gets me to this day. Still remember waiting for my bus on Oldham St and to take it home to play. GREAT SONG
@MrTrickyTree I sat on the Trent End front row v Leicester towards the corner flag. View was dreadful due to the ad boards, photographers and stewards. Literally couldn't see half the TE net without standing up which brings its own problems. This will be the same. AVOID!!
@memorialdevice They had to make an LP to get out of the record deal withy Statik. A few of the songs were old ones redone to speed things up (Looking Inwardly was on the 1st Peel session). Some of it could sound better too (Reg's guitar is missing from HIWTHI). Still a classic though!
@noellearchives Fun fact: they wrote this song with Chris Hughes, the drummer from Adam and the Ants (who also produced the album), but they didn't realise who he was until he started adding percussion parts.
