Kebbi and Zamfara Attacks: Our Nation Cannot Continue Like This
My heart is heavy in faraway Monaco as I receive the heartbreaking news from Kebbi State about the attack on Maga Comprehensive Girls’ Secondary School, which led to the abduction of several young female students and the killing of a staff member. Sadly, similar acts of violence continue elsewhere. In Zamfara State, bandits reportedly killed three persons and abducted about 64 others in Fegin Baza village, Tsafe LGA. These are devastating and unacceptable losses.
My deepest sympathies go to the government and people of Kebbi and Zamfara States, the parents and families of the abducted girls, and all those affected by this tragedy. Entire communities are living in fear; schools—safe havens for learning—are now vulnerable targets. Families are being torn apart, and innocent lives are being destroyed. This is not the Nigeria we should accept.
At this difficult time, we must strengthen our resolve to secure every part of our nation. I call on the government at all levels to urgently intensify security efforts, overhaul our security architecture, ensure the safe rescue of the abducted girls, and prevent further attacks on our schools and communities. Our children must never be left at the mercy of terrorists.
May the soul of the staff member who lost his life rest in peace, and may God comfort the bereaved families and grant them the strength to bear these unimaginable losses. I pray for the safe return of the abducted girls and for healing and protection for every affected family. May God guide our security agencies as they work tirelessly to bring them home.
Nigeria must do better. Our children deserve safety, and our people deserve peace. -PO
Useless set of Politicians! Evil and Wicked!
They have never cared about the lives of the people. All they want to do is steal and loot the nation dry! Then start fighting for the next election cycle!
Zero value for the lives of Nigerians!
Noting beats a united voice speaking at the same time! The volume cannot be lowered or unheard!
Can we at 10am every day tweet 10 tweets each using #JusticeForOchanya until Ochanya and her family get the justice they deserve?
You don’t have to say too much in each tweet.
Ensure you shout it out through your tweets 10 times daily at 10am!!!!
There shall never be rest for the wicked
Ochanya would have been 20 years this year studying Medicine and Surgery to save lives but Winifred's Family deprived her that dream.
Their last born, Ihotu, same age with Ochanya is living that dream now.
This case was swept under the carpet in 2018 because Winifred's Father had taught some politicians' children and he used their influence to cover up the family's atrocities.
Don't ask me how I know this much. We are from the same state, the same local government.
Their village is just a stone-throw from my village. A small river separated the two villages.
The news is everywhere within the communities. The communities want justice too but they are helpless since they are not as influential as the Andrew's family.
As we keep protesting online, Mr. Andrew is also calling some notable politicians too.
If we relent, this case will still be swept under the carpet like it was in 2018.
If this case goes away without justice, do you know how many children of her age would go through the same process?
Injustice to one is injustice to all.
Yesterday, Ochanya was the victim of cruelty.
What about tomorrow? It could be you, it could be me, it could be our sisters, it could be our daughters.
Please add your voice.
Ochanya d!ed in a cruel manner. She deserves justice.
#JusticeforOchanya
My heart is heavy. A young girl suffered unthinkable pain at the hands of those meant to protect her and lost her life because of it. We can’t stay silent. We can’t continue to hide behind family titles and tradition. She deserves justice. Every child deserves safety. 💔 #Justiceforochanya
Still about that poor girl who was raped to death by a father and son…
You see, like I said the other day, if you’re someone who thinks deeply about rape and femicide cases that make it to the internet, and you truly fear God, the Nigerian justice system will shake you to your core.
Because you’ll realize that it could happen to anyone, your sister, your daughter, your mother, or any woman you hold dear and chances are, you’ll never get justice.
The saddest part isn’t just the horror of what that girl went through, but the fact that the family who destroyed her life are still living theirs normally, almost a decade later.
The mother of the house, who should have been her protector, hid her medical test results from the doctors who tried to save her. And when she was finally exposed, she spent barely five months in jail.
The father, a pastor and lecturer as at 2018 when the incident happened, still holds both positions today–in 2025.
Students still attend his lectures, people still sit in front of him every weekend, listening to him preach about righteousness, about the Jesus he betrayed in his own home.
And the son, who was equally involved, walks freely today, even pursuing a music career, singing to a world that doesn’t know the blood his hands once touched.
A whole family conspired in the torture and death of a helpless girl, a child who lived under their care for four long years and they are still walking free.
Sometimes, it’s not the crime that breaks you, it’s the silence of a system that protects the criminals.
A system that preaches morality on paper but practices selective justice in reality.
Let’s not be quiet.
Let’s continue to lend our voices for this girl and for every other girl whose life was stolen by cruelty, silenced by fear, and forgotten by a system that never cared.
Because if we stop speaking, we become part of the silence that protects evil. May the soul of Ochanyan rest in peace and many other girls like her who had died in this horrible manner.

Who in d world is VDM that a whole country will condemn someone in distress just bcos of a manipulator like him who clearly didn't have phyna's interest at heart but just wants to be worshipped like always for setting up ring light to sell castle in the air to y'all?
Who is he?
Phyna's sister is reportedly gone, RIP. This may have been avoidable if she got better care in a better medical facility; It's pitiful, and it's even more sickening that people were making Phyna the topic of discussion instead of focusing on the main issue. It quickly went from justice seeking, to clout chasing. RIP to the deceased. May the heavens comfort the grieving family during this difficult time.
Phyna’s sister Ruth is gone 💔
Instead of standing for justice, they turned her pain into clout wars:
VDM vs Phyna.
Izzy vs VDM.
Doris vs Izzy.
Now the girl is gone. Let them all rest 🕊️
#JusticeForRuth Phyna Dangote Rest in peace RIP RUTH
