@WalshFreedom It’s amazing how many civil rights moments come down to which bathroom a person is allowed to use. If there was ever a metaphor for the denial of basic human rights to groups, it’s this.
@darryn_briggs I love this song and it drives me nuts how people perceive it. I know what he meant, & you know what he meant, but the public heard “that’s just the way it is/some things will never change“ & ignored the next line about how that mindset is a lie: “ Don’t you believe it”
Much of our “messaging problem” would be solved if the people speaking on behalf of the Democratic Party actually liked the party and wanted it to succeed. Too many pundits and talking heads speak about the party through a lens of criticism and borderline disdain. Of course 4 years of that is going to affect the party in the eyes of potential voters.
