@sunflower_cait@Swilua My preschool daughter thinks she used to be a boy because her hair was short and her 2yo little sister currently is a boy because she doesn’t have much hair yet. 😂
It’s officially spring, meaning Persephone is back from the Underworld and at her mother’s house, so from now on every time the weather is unseasonably cold and dreary it just means Persephone snuck out to visit Hades in secret but Demeter saw it on the birdwatch porch cam
(This feels meaningful because we regularly have to sit in the cry room at her request/demand because sitting elsewhere is too loud/stimulating and even then trying to get her to sit relatively still and stay in one pew is a ✨challenge ✨)
We were visiting family during Christmas and went to mass at a different parish. 4yo was incredibly upset about not being at our normal parish and has since told me (twice!) apropos of nothing that she likes mass.
Parents, now is the time to be on guard. We are once again reminding you to be diligent about checking your child's candy throughout the Halloween season. Our biologists have just found THREE invasive bighead carp rolled up and shoved inside an almond joy. We are appalled.
*Jamie stretches*
4yo: “Daddy! I saw your muscles when you did that and you are very strong! You can carry anything! Good job!”
1yo: *starts clapping* “yay!”
Kids are the greatest hype men. 🥰
And something about a homeless person showed up during adoration and don’t cast holy things before dogs which… ick. (I haven’t heard a full homily in 4+ years, but it all felt pointed during a family mass when showing up before the first reading is an accomplishment for some)
I think the homily at mass was about getting to mass earlier to go to confession and making sure to have reverence during mass, but I was busy trying to make sure one kid didn’t butt scoot down the aisle and the other didn’t run down the aisle, so 🤷♀️
