What an amazing way to ring the holidays! Congratulations to @Rainteam28 for continuing to work on their project amidst this pandemic! We are so proud of you!
Thank you Superintendent Franklin Walker for mentioning us in your meeting yesterday! We appreciate it! There is definitely more to come with this competition. Thank you again for your support and recognition. @jcps_district@Ps28jc
Congratulations to our @rainteam28 for being in top 100 team for #Samsungsolve designing a rain capture mosquito trap with a #LoRaWAN rain alert sensor for #JerseyCity@jerseycitynj @ PS 28 Christa McAuliffe School https://t.co/CD7riXJV6H
This was our solution to our soaker hose! We got a hose from our school and made our own soaker hose! We drilled holes into the hose with safety precautions. Now we have a soaker hose we can use in our area and put in the path we shoveled. #stem#RainwaterAndMosquitoesTrap
We were able to dig a path for the soaker hose in our area. Our system is now there and we will now start to collect more data with the rainwater and mosquitoes since it is the warmer months now.
Hi @MalekRobert We are team that collects Rainwater and reuses it to water plants and traps mosquitoes all in one system! This system is named R.A.M.T! The rainwater that will be collected will go to the roots of future plants. #jerseycity#ecybermission#ecyber#ecyber21
This is our final prototype that we created on Google Sketchup! It is named Rainwater And Mosquitoes Trap. (R.A.M.T) This system was successful in being a rainwater harvesting device and mosquito trap! #rainwater#reuseaquainnature#RainwaterAndMosquitoesTrap#R.A.M.T. @Ps28jc
The R.A.I.N team’s shirts have officially arrived! Thanks to our sponsors, our teachers, and our school for supporting us through this journey while making it possible for us to express our creativity through this team. #rain#rainwater#steamexpeditions#mosquitoes#rainteam
This is Prototype 1. The rainwater would have filled in from the top PVC pipe and go through the white PVC pipe in the middle. Once it is done going through, it would have went to the bottom container to store the rainwater. @STEMExpeditions#RainwaterAndMosquitoesTrap
