Such a great line from the latest Punisher issue (#3) in the current run. I hope this & the MCU version are about to embark on similar "it's not personal, just doing it for the love of the game" paths, just crime fighting in its rawest form - no personal connections
@PaulTassi I really enjoyed the special but the fact that this made it to the final cut is mind-boggling. Genuinely looks like a cutscene in a video game. This and the audio mixing are my only 2 issues with it and they both belong to post-production
@brandonjc_art The only thing I wish we saw - however I think this was intended (and succeeded) to be purely standalone
Hopefully in Spiderman it'll connect to Daredevil in prison & somehow include the task force & Frank interacting (I'm coping)
I watched the show and read the comics and I had a blast watching it. We weren't getting a groundbreaking new Punisher plot in a 45min special, right before his movie debut... in a spiderman movie. If you thought we were then you're a dumbass
People are shitting on the Punisher special because "its the same plot as the Netflix show" - no shit - its only goal was to introduce Disney/MCU fans to the character and establish his backstory & goals for those that didn't watch the show. They did an excellent job at that.
@GerardoV17Alt 100% intentional & a smart move honestly, removes the barrier to entry for new viewers who don't wanna go back to catch up. Was done in a way that provides enough backstory to explain why he is the way he is and provides the audience with what he's up to in the modern day
You can tell that Jon Bernthal put so much passion into Punisher: One Last Kill. Despite the lackluster post-production, it was so much fun & I can't wait to see Frank tear through New York in upcoming projects. Him expertly cycling weapons like its gun game in CoD was incredible
Punisher: One Last Kill was fucking awesome.
A perfect end to the "I killed everyone who had a hand in my family (minus Ma Gnucci) and now I'm ready to die" part of Frank's life.
Transitions perfectly into the "its no longer personal, I'm just gonna kill all the bad guys" part.
I grew up watching Mindcrack religiously, it was my main source of entertainment for many many of my developmental years. I even went to the Orlando meetup and got photos with most of them. Just found out about Guude and holy shit what a disgusting and reprehensible human being.
@SWChrisCreative I havent seen that, but honestly I don't really trust anything that comes out of his mouth at this point. I'm sure theres bits of truth in there, but as a whole he's lost all credibility as far as I'm concerned
Being an older group, the Mindcrack server had a historical impact in the Minecraft SMP space. This is tough news for the community, and its effects will be felt across the current landscape. Thankfully we still have groups like Hermitcraft, w/0 tolerance for things like this
It will be very interesting to see what happens to the server with him gone, since he owns the whole business. I imagine (unless contracted) that some will just retire from content, others will make a rebrand group, and others will just go off and do their own thing.
RUMOR: Disney to Remove Star Wars Sequel Trilogy From Timeline to Resume Focus on Original Characters
"If true, this would be one of the most dramatic franchise shifts in modern Hollywood history."
