The only thing that rare judges like Atul Sreedharan have, and most Indian judges lack, is a spine. The Constitution can guarantee all the powers, protections, and privileges, but a judge has to be born with a spine and a commitment to rule of law
Dalli Police came to HKS Surjeet Bhawan in search of SFI activists and to collect details. Well, you are not at Savarkar Bhavan but at the bhavan named after one nicknamed 'London Tod Singh' in search of SFI activists, it says it all. Your intimidation tactics are bound to fail!
Chief Justice Gavai transferred Justice Atul Sreedharan to the Allahabad High Court at the request of the Centre, where he would not be a member of the collegium. Therefore, this gem coming from him, condemning Justice Bhuyan for his remark, is ironic, if not laughable. Justice Bhuyan’s remark does not damage the institution. What damages the institution is that the collegium succumbs to the executive.
Someone should have directed @elonmusk to the Electoral Bonds or PM CARES under-the-table collection counter.
His licence would have moved much faster.
As a Muslim, it’s hard to admit, but the truth is:
I feel safer raising my family in the US, UK or Europe than in some Muslim-majority countries.
My daughter is protected from child marriage.
My wife has the freedom to choose what she wears.
I can speak my mind without fearing that someone will kill me over words.
My children can grow up Muslim without being forced to obey someone else’s interpretation of Islam.
Think about that.
Sometimes, Muslims have more freedom to live as Muslims in the West than they do in some countries that call themselves Islamic.

"Govt is fooling us by saying great things will happen by 2050. Even if it happens, where will we be by then? Enough of this. We want to see those dreams fulfilled now."
