The government has taken down our iconic website - https://t.co/ELmb4ZlEed.
10 Lakh cockroaches had signed up on our website has members.
6 Lakh cockroaches had signed a petition to demand the resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan.
Why is the government so scared of cockroaches? But this dictatorial behaviour is opening the eyes of India's youth. Our only crime is we were demanding a better future for ourselves.
But you can't get rid of us that easily. WeтАЩre working on a new home right now. Cockroaches never die. ЁЯк│
I travelled through Great Nicobar today.
These are the most extraordinary forests I have ever seen in my life. Trees older than memory. Forests that took generations to grow.
The people on this island are equally beautiful - both the adivasi communities and the settlers - but they are being robbed of what is rightfully theirs.
The government calls what it is doing here a тАЬProject.тАЭ What I have seen is not a project. It is millions of trees marked for the axe. It is 160 square kilometres of rainforest condemned to die. It is communities that have been ignored while their homes have been snatched away.
This is not development. This is destruction dressed in developmentтАЩs language.
So I will say it plainly, and I will keep saying it: what is being done in Great Nicobar is one of the biggest scams and gravest crimes against this countryтАЩs natural and tribal heritage in our lifetime.
It must be stopped. And it can be stopped - if Indians choose to see what I have seen.
I am saying this again, India is no longer a country for free and fair business, nor a land of creative freedom.
You invest your hard-earned money to build something from scratch, and suddenly 2-rupee Bajrang Dal goons show up at your doorstep to shut it down, just because you try to create a neutral space or say something that doesnтАЩt fit their politics.
The attacks on Piyush Bansal and Namita Thapar will push a whole generation of entrepreneurs to leave India. Economic growth depends on a strong ecosystem, and when people donтАЩt feel safe to build or speak, why would anyone stay?
On one side, Hindutva goons. On the other, what does the government offer? High taxes, constant Income Tax and ED notices, harassment of the very people trying to create jobs and value.
And letтАЩs be clear, this doesnтАЩt happen without political patronage. BJP cannot deny that these mobs are part of the ecosystem that benefits them.
You build something, and one day 100 unemployed goons can walk in and destroy it.
Is this the environment we want for business and innovation?
The Press Club of India expresses grave concern over the recent spate of takedown orders issued across social media platforms targeting content critical of the government, where creators have been blocked or their material removed.
The PCI Managing Committee strongly opposes these instances of blatant executive overreach and demands that the authorities respect citizens' and journalists' fundamental right to freedom of speech and expression enshrined in and protected by Article 19(1)(a) of the Indian Constitution.
Press Club of India slams the governmentтАЩs takedown orders of social media posts critical of the government and PM as a grave violation of free speech
A Peek TV ground report is among several posts and accounts that have been taken down by X and Instagram on the government's orders recently.
Watch this video to see the takedown order we received from the Delhi Police, which didn't list any specific issues with our report.
