It may not seem so, but this is what economic progress looks like.

In the past these people would have traveled by train or bus - they would have taken a flight only under dire emergency. The fact that they are enjoying homemade food shows this is an "elective" flight, not an emergency one. So they are able to afford something they wouldn't have in the past.

Secondly, this appears to be a domestic flight. Most passengers in the flight are Indians themselves and probably eat similar food at home. The quick backlash is not (only) because of smell / civic sense / secondhand moral panic of the video spreading and worsening our reputation.

It's also because of the loss of exclusive space. The lower class has ascended to the economy class faster than the middle class has ascended to the business/first class. Consequently the erstwhile economy class feels like that glass ceiling is broken. You can also see this in airport lounges.

Yes - many of the concerns are legit.
Yes - it will get worse before it becomes better.

But this is not a blackpill..this is a black-coated white pill.

Take a chillpill - we shall rise 💪

She ran over an 8 year old boy with her speeding car while talking on the phone in Mumbai.

The boy died.

Just look at her car number plate. It starts with BH.

A car owner with a BH number plate can move and be driven freely in any Indian state without needing re-registration.

Not everyone gets this number plate, but it is available for central and state government employees, defence personnel, public and private sector employees who work in companies with offices in 4 or more states.

She must be from a rich family background, so don’t be surprised if she gets bail very soon.

HIGHWAY HORROR: FAMILY ROBBED ON SAMRUDDHI EXPRESSWAY

A family travelling on the Samruddhi Mahamarg in Maharashtra was allegedly targeted after their car’s tyre was punctured by objects placed on the road. A group of men reportedly surrounded the vehicle, assaulted the family and threatened them before fleeing with gold jewellery and cash worth around ₹18 lakh.

Police have launched an investigation and are searching for the suspects.

The judiciary is supposed to be awe inspiring, the institution must be respected, even if it is illusionary to some.

Judges are not lords. Stop calling them “My Lords” and stop treating them like royalty. They are public servants entrusted with delivering justice. Address them as “Dear Judge”, nothing more, nothing less. Respect the institution, but never turn judges into untouchable figures.

Honesty is in using systems to make a lasting difference, not in grabbing personal glory and disappearing after tenure.

The Bombay HC used these words for the FDA:
“Don’t kill a mosquito with a sword.”
“You think you are a lord and can do anything.”
“Let them convince us or go to jail.”

But don’t worry, @Tukaram_IndIAS sir. This is the reward for fighting with the powerful.

FDA withdraws orders against Cipla and MCA’s 5 restaurants.

Remember, the Bombay HC said Udupi Swaad restaurant should suffer the loss because they served analogue paneer without mentioning it on the menu.

But when powerful people went to court, the court said the FDA had disobeyed its order.

If a small restaurant is slapped for doing wrong, then these are big companies. Even a 1% mistake should be punishable.

It’s high time to re raid Bombay HC canteens.
