@ianuragthakur @prasoonjoshi_ For our film ‘Dahini The Witch’ which has some common cuss words spoken by a mob who are blood-hounding some women branded as ‘witches’ #CBFCMumbai not only wanted it cut but also was willing to give only #A Certificate but #Oppeneheimer which has used our religious text in the most inappropriate moment not only gets a U/A but is also allowed to use that objectionable scene! Wah! What fairness!
I remember for our #CBFC screening of our film the officer concerned point blank told me not to compare any other film to our film for each is judged separately. Subjectivity at its peak!
And one of the staff at the screening theatre told me not having an agent will end up with a lot of problem for us as money paid to the agent ensures everybody at #CBFC also gets their share. So subjectivity was easily explained!
So my take on the #Oppeneheimer controversy, they had a good agent who lavishly paid #CBFC who ensured many objectionable parts are happily ignored!
