The post recently deleted by @MaxPowersEHCC claiming that Jack Reed was caught at a concert with a lover, and that this movement is all a distraction, is completely unfounded. Times staff confirmed Reed doesn't listen to Coldplay. We also confirmed that Max Powers is a hack, and the Times will not be out-scooped by that bum.
Rockets Captain Ozzie Albies arrived and acknowledged the growing assembly of press, but gave no insight on what could be unfolding. The second baseman was not included in the “Maroon and Gold package” outline, but nothing seems off the table at this point.
More movement around the ballpark. Locker room staff seen moving box after box of shoes out of the stadium. Head Coach Troy O’Leary is a known shoe enthusiast, so along with a big, team transforming deal, insiders suspect there will be a changing of the guard among the coaching staff as well.
Andy Pages was the first to the field this morning, far earlier than the normal arrival time for the team. Our photographer noted his grim expression. The young star has been having a breakout season for the Rockets despite the team's struggles.
A Rakeville Times photographer captured this scene outside of Reed Field this morning. While it's not rare to see the red cybertrucks cruising around downtown, they are usually parked up like this to take individual players to the airport. No word from the team yet, but some are speculating the Maroon and Gold package announced earlier in the week has sparked some discussion.
Cam Smith has made the Astros Opening Day roster, per @Chandler_Rome
Smith, 22-years old, was drafted 14th overall by the Cubs in last year’s draft and was traded to the Astros for Kyle Tucker during the offseason.
Firstname is reporting that the war room was tense in Rakeville, as they were waiting for word on Smith until the last minute. A source said a member of the Musk group suggested the team consult Grok. Reed responded by kicking him out of the room. “The fate of this team and the love of hundreds of thousands of fans won’t be decided by a damn robot.”
With this first pick in the MaDP, the Rockets select Cam Smith. This is a high risk selection for GM Jack Reed, as Smith’s roster status is still uncertain. The team is hoping this gamble will pay off.
