@mrexits@ivanhzhao Should have used the actual pic instead of the outline. That would give people an irresistible motivation to load their own profile pic.
@machinegod@vividvoid I think you’re saying something important here, but I can’t quite parse your statement. Can you enumerate just a few of the innumerable possibilities?
As small business owners, we’re not curing cancer or paying Goldman salaries.
If we want to employ talented people, gotta go out of our way to make our companies good places to work.
@SlaapMe@WorkFlowy Workflowy is really coming on lately - embeds (mirrors), backlinks, slash commands. All while maintaining a beautiful, functional, minimalist interface. It’s a very credible option.
@startswithanE @KSPrior 👆nailed it. Silver tsunami was accelerated by the pandemic. Many never returned to the workforce. Creates enough of a supply imbalance to drive wages way up. Service sector priced out of the market.
@TfTHacker@OmniOutliner It is unbelievable how useful the outline/table combo is. Are you familiar with the old EccoPro? I’ve been looking for something to match its functionality for decades.
@JxnW @0xmaddie_ It’s not clear to me that a world free of guilt, blame, and retribution would be a better world. In fact, the farther I go down that trail the more horrified I get.
@SafewayWineClub @KaitlynSchiess I think people often use this verse to control others. You’re onto something there. But, to answer your question directly , no I don’t think Jesus is trying to control us. What do you think?
@roam_js Is it possible for the TODO trigger to remove the date tag etc previously added by the DONE trigger? I sometimes want to turn a DONE item back into a TODO, and when I do I need to remove that stuff.
@sweatystartup But he is also exposing domestic labor to a new wage depressive force. He is quite consciously, deliberately making workers in Texas compete with workers in the Philippines. Good for him, good for the Philippines. But not great for customer service reps in TX.
@sweatystartup Here the argument: if widely adopted, paying “opportunity wages” for workers over there results in “exploitive wages” for workers here. I don’t know what to think about that, but I’m sure interested to know what Nick thinks.
@sweatystartup The argument that he is paying “slave labor” rates is silly. If those wages meet or exceed local conditions he is concretely, practically helping people.
@RPSeawright@MdeNostradame@MichaelRWear None. These are faith claims that spring from religious critiques of social/cultural systems that reject the weak and alienated.
@made_in_cosmos Actions shows me more about what you really believe than words do, but belief is still at the core. Alignment of beliefs, words, and deeds - that’s the hard part.
