La notoriété de Melchie Daëlle Dumornay est ignorée en Haïti. Ce n’est pas normal. 
Comment comprendre que la sportive la plus connue du pays et à travers le monde n’a jamais été retenue pour porter un message publicitaire ou d’intérêt national ni par le secteur privé ni par l’État haïtien ? 
Melchie n’est même pas citée en exemple, n’a jamais été invitée en Haïti pour effectuer une visite officielle. Haïti ferme les yeux sur ses exploits et son potentiel. 
C’est dommage. 
Dans un pays en si grand manque de modèle et d’exemple, ce n’est pas seulement Melchie qui est banalisée c’est la réussite qui est méprisée.
