Why economic progress cannot fix India’s domestic gender gaps

While education gaps are closing, a new study of 40k+ adolescents from @iitbombay shows that 75% of girls engage in domestic labour daily, while boys remain unaffected. For many girls, especially from SC/ST communities, the work day doesn't end when the school bell rings, but when the dinner plates are washed.
