I always liked this song. Folks make fun of “yacht rock”, but if you heard this in your Mark V or Monte Carlo, you probably pushed the pedal a little further. Those were the days, and they were fun.
Christopher Cross 🎩🪄 Ride Like The Wind
A smooth, high-energy classic featuring backing vocals from Michael McDonald.
Hope you enjoyed another voyage through the golden age of Yacht Rock. ⛵️⚓️⛵️
Thanks for sailing along!

@LUFC1992_v2 Well unfortunately it does. Unless you take the loop. If you really want a bridge that’s scary, take a detour through Port Arthur and go over the “Rainbow Bridge”. That one is wild.
@67gta390 Yessir I believe we are. I’ve always loved American cars. I grew up in a family where it was a cardinal sin to own a foreign car. Makes me sad kids today won’t know the roar of a 454, the pillowy comfort & power of Merc’ w/ a 460, the longevity of an Olds 350 & all so distinct.
Reminds me of cold days out in the field with this on the floorboard of my truck filled with some hot coffee my sweet wife made for me. (Sometimes it was a little “Irish”), or some hot soup for lunch.
@67gta390 I remember when I was young I could tell what car was behind me in the dark by the headlight formation in my rear view mirror.
Now I cannot tell a Malibu from a Civic during the day. Now almost no American car manufacturer makes a sedan at all. Just not right.
@its_The_Dr Got a community note that this is AI generated.
But ya know I don’t care. It’s a beautiful clip of how you’d hope things would be, a reminder to us all to be kind.
@67gta390 Thank you.
I truly believe if American car manufacturing went back to making all of the parts and designed cars for Americans rather than global markets, while making them distinctly American, we’d have a renaissance of not just jobs, but products people actually want to buy.
