Deflationary narrative is great, but 20% lost supply just proves crypto UX is still a disaster for mass adoption.
Scarcity means nothing if liquidity dries up and whales control the remaining floating supply.

Bitcoin surpassed 20.07 million coins mined as of August 2026, leaving only 4.4% more supply.

I'd estimate 10-20% of existing bitcoins are lost/stuck/unrecoverable. It's a deflationary asset.
