Today, I met with Nepal’s Minister of Finance, Rameshore Khanal, to reaffirm @ADB_HQ’s strong and continuing partnership with Nepal. I offered my condolences on the lives lost, including many young people, during the recent unrest and expressed appreciation for the government’s continued commitment to the path of reform.

I was humbled to hear how instrumental ADB has been in supporting infrastructure in Nepal, including hydro-electricity, water supply, rural roads, and highways, and how our support is valued, including our long-term commitment.

ADB remains steadfast in supporting Nepal’s path toward recovery and stability.
