Chief minister C Joseph Vijay’s remarks of Vanma Naadhi and Aabasa Nadhi flowing in Tamil Nadu has now been endorsed by highest of the leaders in DMK. The comments could have and should have been avoided and such comments not just sabotages the efforts of other party members like @KanimozhiDMK who’s tried to change the face of DMK’s campaign making the campaign more people-centric but also leaves little defense for the young women members of the party who recently voiced out against similar attacks.
I never doubted @TVKVijayHQ 's intentions in seeking public office. He is here to make a difference and for the betterment of our people. However I had my doubts about his ability to put in the grind , bear the gruel of a political life. Today he has definitively answered those doubts and silenced his critics. When the going got tough, he stepped up. Today, he looks even more unbeatable
I always respect @mkstalin for his seniority and many good schemes. But body shaming can’t be tolerated. It’s 2026 let’s not do this to any human being 🙏, coming from a senior politician and former chief minister will set wrong precedence

தமிழ்நாட்டின் அரசியல் கழிசடைகள் தான் இந்த திமுக.
Yet another low in political discourse from the DMK in Tamil Nadu. What else can we expect from someone who, during the Thoothukudi incident, was busy making reels instead of visiting the affected people?
Today, the former Chief Minister has made a statement about the TVK woman candidate from Dharapuram, and it is truly disheartening to hear such remarks from someone who has held the highest office in the state.
When the guardian of the party himself makes such statements, what can we expect from the rest of the DMK leadership? Repeatedly making derogatory remarks about women in public forums and attempting to demean their dignity is absolutely condemnable.
I strongly condemn his speech. This is not just about one woman or one candidate; it is about the dignity and respect every woman deserves. If they continue to target women with such remarks, it is time for women to raise their voices and stand together to defend their dignity.
On October 6, the women of Dharapuram will speak with a unified voice, standing shoulder-to-shoulder with their own Satyabama Akka. Through the power of the ballot, the people will deliver an unmistakable verdict: political disrespect toward women will never be tolerated here.

Another unnecessary and crude remark, which can go viral and invite responses from party leaders. It will only push DMK to the back foot just ahead of polling.
