For decades, Pentecostal groups have had a free run luring vulnerable Hindus into conversion traps with a) promises of miracle cures through prayers to Jesus and b) telling them their Hindu deities are powerless and that this is why they are suffering

Just last month, Pune-based pastor Kenneth Silway was caught on camera making these ridiculous claims during his so-called prayer gathering:

“Today Jesus is going to give us Changai (treatment). I command every cancer to leave. I command every tumour to leave... I can see in the spirit that, in the name of Jesus, some tumours are leaving the bodies of some people at this very moment.”

This is what is being passed off as “prayer”

Now that Maharashtra’s anti-conversion law has been enforced, pastors are adopting another tactic - getting their targets to sign declarations stating that they attended such gatherings without any pressure

The obvious objective is to later produce these declarations before a court if FIR is filed

But what about the false claims used to lure people into these gatherings? What about the hateful rhetoric used for detaching people from their culture?

Conversion agents must be booked under all applicable laws, including Drugs and Magic Remedies Act and hate speech

What is urgently needed is mass legal awareness - people must know the law and conversion tactics and understand how to get it stopped

At @RashtraJyoti and @sewanyaya, we have been conducting awareness workshops across Delhi and have recently started in Jodhpur as well

With necessary resources, we can take this campaign across the country

In 2019, the Congress govt in Rajasthan launched a campaign called "Ghoonghat Hatao Abhiyan" because ghoonghat is regressive. That’s okay!

But today, after Allahabad High Court rejected the argument that wearing the hijab is an essential Islamic practice. And now, that girl student who filed the petition will have to follow the dress code of the private school.

Congress is defending the hijab over school dress code. And, to defend the hijab, they have now come out in favour of ghoonghat as well. So, ghoonghat which was "regressive", becomes a matter of choice all because they want to defend the hijab over the school dress code.

The judgement was delivered by two Judges - Justice JJ Munir and
Justice Indrajeet Shukla.

If JJ Munir was not part of this judgement, then this judgement would be dismissed as Brahminical Patriarchy.

The Five Ways Siddhis Can Arise According to Patañjali… 🔥

In Yoga Sūtra 4.1, Maharshi Patañjali makes a fascinating statement: extraordinary capacities or Siddhis may arise through five different means... birth, herbs, mantra, austerity, and Samādhi.

> Janma (Birth) refers to abilities present from birth. Yogic tradition explains these as capacities carried forward through powerful Saṁskāras and accomplishments from previous lives.

> Auṣadhi (Herbs) refers to Siddhis arising through special substances or preparations. Classical commentators acknowledge this possibility, although Patañjali gives no practical instructions for producing such effects.

> Mantra refers to powers associated with the disciplined repetition and mastery of sacred sounds. Within yogic traditions, mantra is understood as capable of transforming the mind and subtle energies.

> Tapas (Austerity) means intense disciplined practice. Through restraint, endurance, purification, and concentrated effort, the practitioner is said to develop unusual capacities.

> Samādhi is the deepest yogic means. Through profound absorption and mastery of consciousness, the yogi may gain the extraordinary forms of knowledge described elsewhere in the Yoga Sūtras.

👉 Yet Patañjali gives an important warning: Siddhis are not liberation. Earlier, he states that extraordinary experiences can themselves become obstacles to Samādhi when attachment develops around them.

The Yoga Sūtras acknowledge extraordinary powers... But they never make them the destination. Power can still strengthen the ego.

Yoga seeks something far greater: Freedom from the one who wants the power.
