Sources tell us the former HR Head, Linda Gxasheka's urgent court bid to get her job back has been dismissed by the Labour Court.
The Court found that she failed to establish urgency and must first take the dispute to the bargaining council. Her termination stands.
Forensic investigator Calvin Rafadi has confirmed that Nedbank has closed his personal bank account following allegations raised at the Madlanga Commission.
The bank reportedly cited “reputational damage” as the reason for closing the account.
Rafadi, who received payments from Vusimuzi “Cat” Matlala, maintains he has committed no crime and says he finds the bank’s decision “strange.”
Meanwhile, sources say that some bank accounts linked to controversial businessman Suliman Carrim have also reportedly been closed by banks.

Boschkop man in court over alleged HIV infection:
A 47-year-old Boschkop man has appeared in the Pretoria Magistrate’s Court on a charge of attempted murder after allegedly infecting his 38-year-old girlfriend with HIV.
The NPA alleges he falsely claimed to be HIV negative during their relationship before admitting he was HIV positive and had intentionally infected her because he did not want her to be with anyone else.
The woman tested HIV positive on 25 July and reported the matter to police the following day, leading to his arrest.
The accused remains in custody.
The case has been postponed to 3 August 2026 for bail information.
A joint anti-smuggling operation has recovered a stolen luxury vehicle worth R2.2 million and led to the arrest of a 46-year-old suspect on the N1 near Makhado, Limpopo.
Police, working with private security partners, intercepted a white Toyota Land Cruiser ZX that was allegedly being transported from Gauteng to be smuggled out of South Africa via the Beitbridge Port of Entry.
The vehicle had been reported stolen in Benoni on 18 July.
The suspect is expected to appear in the Polokwane Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 27 July, on charges of possessing a suspected stolen vehicle and driving without a valid licence.
Investigations are continuing.

Reports that four Pakistani shop owners have been killed in suspected ambush in Chloorkop, Kempton Park.
The victims were reportedly driving home after closing their businesses when gunmen opened fire at the corner of Zuurfontein and Orangerivier roads, killing all four.
The scene is active.
Gauteng Hawks Head Maj-Gen Ebrahim Kadwa and Durban businessman Tariq Downes are expected back in the Kempton Park Magistrate’s Court tomorrow.
Maj-Gen Feroz Khan remains in hospital and is not expected to appear.
The matter is expected to be postponed.
The trio, who are out on R20,000 bail each, face charges linked to an alleged illicit precious metals syndicate and the alleged obstruction of a 2021 gold-smuggling investigation.
