Delhi Police ACP Vivek Bhagat says, "Yesterday, I was on duty in sector one zone one which includes the main Jantar Mantar area. I was on duty during the day and I had evening shift as well, so during the evening shift, I was going to report from Regal building which is Connaught Place, via Sansad Marg, at the red light of Tolstoy and Sansad Marg. I had a staff of five or six who were walking ahead and with me was an ACP probationer Rohit and my operator Navneet. So as we were walking ahead, we realized that water bottles were being thrown at the staff in front and hooting and anti-social slogans were being raised against the police. So as soon as our police staff moved back and forth a little there, some of them moved forward to save their lives and one of them was overpowered by the crowd. Blood was coming out of his head. His entire face was covered in blood, so I tried to intervene to rescue him from there. We even brought him a meter or two forward, but the crowd was so huge and violent. They even overpowered me. The crowd was so violent. Police officers were specifically targeted, isolating them and attacking them..."

ACP Vivek Bhagat dedicated his career to protecting the nation, famously foiling a devastating toy-car bomb plot and single-handedly capturing eight Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists.

A dispute broke out in Dehradun after a woman, identified as Saniya Khan, was allegedly heard saying, "This is a Muslim area, you can't play Hanuman Chalisa here."

A Muslim woman first opened a shop with a Hindu name, and later several more Muslim-owned shops opened in the same locality.

It is alleged that some people then told Hindu shopkeepers to lower the volume of Hanuman Chalisa and leave the area.

The claims further state that when Hindus protested, a clash followed and some people were assaulted.

Later, Bajrang Dal members reached the spot and demanded police action, saying, "Why can't Hanuman Chalisa be played in Devbhoomi Uttarakhand? If this continues, not even one Muslim shop should remain here."

Doctor mansi oberoi - First of all, don't call this a student protest. Whenever I talk about reservation, these people around me start shouting. Reservation is harming fair education and it should be addressed.

The maid who comes to my house, her husband left her 3 years ago. Now she has 4 kids to feed. She is a Thakur. None of her kids will get reservation. We pay her 15k per month. That's all we can do. Her family is poor. When her kids grow up, they won't have any facilities. Instead, they will have to score 600+ in NEET to secure a seat.

Meanwhile, someone like Abhijit Diple, who may be earning lakhs or crores, his children will get reservation and may get a seat even after scoring 400. They don't need it. They already have a lavish lifestyle. Is this a wrong issue to address? Why am I being seen as the villain by all these protesters here if I am talking about this?
