Bahraini authorities returned the body of Mohammad Al-Mousawi on 27 March, days after detaining and allegedly torturing him to death for opposing the US-Israeli war on Iran.

A video showed his corpse with visible signs of torture. Mousawi, who had previously spent 12 years in prison, was re-arrested shortly before his death.

Al-Wefaq condemned the killing, accusing the regime of framing citizens and committing crimes against humanity. Hundreds, including women and children, have reportedly been arrested and tortured since the start of the war.
