There is a lot of noise around disability pension & tax exemption, but context matters.

Supreme Court recently rejected a claim where a brain stroke linked to smoking was not found attributable to military service. Courts have consistently drawn a distinction between service related disabilities & lifestyle diseases.

Many claims are also made on lifestyle conditions such as diabetes and similar ailments.

The government’s clarification ensures that personnel disabled due to service conditions continue to receive full exemption and protection. Nothing has changed for soldiers injured in the line of duty or during the service.

So why create unnecessary outrage when the principle remains the same? Don't fall for false propaganda.

@IncomeTaxIndia It’s been 4 weeks and there is no processing happening. Earlier the refunds were faster and am checking the daily statistics, filing figures are moving but processing has not moved an inch past 4 weeks. This year the processing had to be faster & it has gone slow.
