A conference was held at the International Tourism exhibition held in France on 06th October with the participation of Ministers of Egypt, Greece , Jordan , Portugal , Dominican Republic and Mauritius. They discussed various issues confronted by the tourism industry at present.

Air France , one of the renowned Airlines in the world , has agreed to operate direct flights between Sri Lanka and France commencing from November as discussed during the meeting which was held in Paris, France between myself and the Minister of Tourism in France.
