(12/10, whoops pt. 2) “Power will always make concessions to stay on top.” Powerful. Thank you David Ikard for this conversation on commercial culture and blackness. There’s ALWAYS more to learn. #blackactivism#TAPR
(11/10, whoops) As a white person raised in a white place, it’s intriguing & critical to learn about so much history that I was never taught. Ikard’s discussion and work at Vanderbilt continue to revive the forgotten pasts of black Americans and bring them into the light.
@Clarissaronm Wow. There aren't even words to describe the ignorance and selfishness of this xenophobia. This really shows how people can convince themselves not to help someone simply because no one else is helping either.
This whole #WhiteObama joke created by SNL is just that–a joke. No one in their right mind would compare @PeteButtigieg to @BarackObama with his current inefficiencies in reaching non-white voters. It's all satire. https://t.co/4z2sX5D2v2
The economic effects of #coronavirus have been very interesting to watch, especially amidst the fear mongering that I believe is being used to distract from other important issues. What do y'all think?
Biowarfare? Stink bomb? Either way, American high schools continually show that homeschooling is going to surge as my generation grows up and has kids. You never know what’ll happen when you drop your kids off. #Massachusetts#highschool https://t.co/QNr9UogY7v
This is so true. We often get swept up in following candidates who will have no real impact because of how the system is currently run. Impact requires compromise and understanding of what America is, not just what it could or should be.
@fayezkiraniUT It really does make me wonder. This whole thing made me forget for a while that China has a totalitarian government and can do whatever it takes to keep whatever face it’s trying to keep and that very well may have been giving poor medical care to the man that “betrayed” it.
@BBCWorld I know a lot of people tend to get angry over hunting bans being lifted, but I wonder if good management during the ban has led to an increase in population that could be destructive to the environment and species if not reduced. Not sure, just curious.
