@drakelets I tend to spend some time after the chat is over to read back through everything--there is invariably at least a few things I either missed entirely or didn't fully process.
It has been such a pleasure, folks. Thank you for participating and for your dedication to both your day school AND your MECHS kids. They are blessed to have you. Keep moving mountains. #mechskdi
@suzanne_jarrard Ha! You beat me to Q6. I LOVE bookchats--it's good to start with a co-host, so let me know if you need a partner. My day school staff LOVED it as an optional PL over the summer--T-shirts for participation!
@MarcieH81118418 Great way to practice what you preach, and it helps build relationships if kids know you care enough to learn about what they're interested in.
A4: I try to learn what the kids interests/hobbies are and try to link it to something that they might be interested in reading, even if it's a magazine, website, etc. Or I tell them I'm going to read up on it so we can have a conversation, and then follow up #mechskdi
@suzanne_jarrard I've had the same thought, but would need to clear out a shelf in the admin office and just haven't gotten around to that. Next year?!
