A storm is brewing and people will start to listen. Only when people gain knowledge and begin to organise people start to see.
Solidarity to every striking worker taking action ✊️✊️
Almost five years ago, together we began to change our Union.
We took our Union 𝐁𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞 - back to our reps and members.
We uncovered the truth around the wrongdoing and alleged fraud surrounding the Birmingham hotel and conference centre.
And we have redefined our relationship with Labour. 𝐍𝐨 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐛𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐤 𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐬.
And together we have delivered hundreds of millions of pounds back into the pockets of members from successful disputes alone.
Profiteers exposed.
Cash to politicians cut.
Winter fuel campaign won.
Billions secured for steel.
Government contracts won for British aerospace.
𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐦𝐚𝐝𝐞. 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐤𝐞𝐩𝐭.
We are only just beginning.
𝐓𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐈 𝐚𝐦 𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐦𝐲 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐫𝐞-𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. 𝐓𝐨 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞 𝐰𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫.
To continue to win. To deliver on 𝐉𝐨𝐛𝐬. 𝐏𝐚𝐲. 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬.
Workers will always be my priority.
𝐈 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐟𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐲𝐨𝐮.

Since day one of the bin strike, Brum residents have stood alongside bin workers supporting a fair deal.
With a deal finally back on the table, all of Birmingham is calling on party leaders to finalise it and end the bin strike.
To whoever wins 7 May elections, let’s #GetTheDealDone.
Residents across Birmingham have made their demands clear. They want elected leaders to:
✅Stick to the ballpark deal
✅Prevent unelected commissioners from blocking it
We’re grateful for the support from this city. Now it’s time to #GetTheDealDone
☠️Barnsley - Labour reduced from 48 to 11 councillors
☠️Gateshead - Labour reduced from 48 to 12 councillors
☠️Kirklees - Labour reduced from 34 to 0 councillors
☠️Sunderland - Labour reduced from 54 to 5 councillors
☠️Wakefield - Labour reduced from 57 to 1 councillor
This is an absolute massacre.
We said before the 2024 general election that @UKLabour had to deliver rapid and tangible improvements in the lives of working class families, or they'd be a one-term government and they'd deliver a massive win for the populist right.
We were correct.
If @Keir_Starmer, @RachelReevesMP and their circle had listened, maybe they wouldn't be in this crisis.
We had an incredible day yesterday in Barnsley, celebrating the centenary of the General Strike. Yesterday wasn’t just about looking backwards, but also about recognising the importance of trade unionism today. This celebration came at the end of a week when the historic Birmingham bin strikes have seen movement - and the National Coal Mining Museum won a huge victory in their dispute in Wakefield. Yesterday was a show of strength to remember what has gone before, celebrate what is happening right now and to show that we are ready for what lies ahead. The people united will never be defeated. 400+ legal claims and counting.
The council’s mishandling of the job evaluation has prompted bin workers to take legal action, potentially adding millions more to the bill. 💷
Demand the Council take action and resume negotiations: https://t.co/KVsG2WBEbo
Persons Unknown chose April 1 to shut down Tom Whites depot in Coventry yet again, the company scabbing on the Birmingham binworkers strike - set up by Coventry Labour councillors with millions of pounds of tax payers money, and costing millions more to scab @strike_map
@MichaelLCrick You dont half type some waffle! In the words of your mate every village has an idiot. If they all entered your village you woud still be the idiot.
"I said to the lads 'look, they're not gonna listen to us, so we don't listen to them." Danny Taylor is a rep with the Birmingham Bin strikers and the Workers Unite candidate for West Midlands. Vote for Danny and the Workers Unite slate to bring our union BACK TO THE WORKPLACE!
Fantastic turn out today in London - Division is the Bosses' Game: It wasn’t the migrant who crashed our financial system or imposed austerity.
Workers must challenge the "super-rich" and "mega-profits" rather than scapegoating migrants or other vulnerable groups.
#Together
The Birmingham bin strike is a disgraceful tale of a council's incompetence. The victims and those who have paid the price are the bin workers and local residents.
The people of Birmingham demand a resolution #BrumBinWorkers
Wow, this is absolutely reprehensible!
Blacklisting workers for union activities is despicable and those who do it are breaking the law and must be held to account.
Birmingham’s bin workers are well aware that there is something rotten at the top of the council. That’s why they’ve been striking for nine months over ruinous £8,000 #FireAndRehire attacks on their wages.
Ministers must act now to stop this appalling behaviour and bring this dispute to an end with a fair deal for the bin workers. The strikes will not end until it does.
There is a simple way to resolve the dispute: return to negotiations based on the “ballpark” proposal that was supported by all sides at conciliation talks in July.
There's a deal to be done, it was on the table in June this year. @BhamCityCouncil need to get back to the table so we can put that deal to our members.
@unitetheunion members will continue until this dispute is resolved, they have no other option but to strike. #Birmingham
✊🏽💪🏾Workers and residents in Brum City marched against @BhamCityCouncil@BrumLabour and their proposed cuts to workers’ pay. Bin workers cannot afford to lose £8,000 per year…could you?
