If capitalism worked, then the American people wouldn't go FROM being able to support a family of 4 and buy a house on one salary.

Having to work 2 jobs just to survive and pay rent.
‼️🚨 Hasan Piker challenges Mitch McConnell to deny their affair: “I was sexting him last night. Go ahead, Mitch. Deny the relationship if you can. Oh really, you got a problem? Deny it. He can’t.”
how did china lift over 800m out of poverty since the 1980s? how did the People's Republic of China already land on Mars in 2021? how do they have the largest army and navy in the world?
If Shenzhen’s rise was simply “the government stopped blocking people,” then where is Argentina’s Shenzhen?
Argentina has had plenty of market freedom.
Plenty of private property.
Plenty of capitalist theory.
Plenty of economists worshipping the invisible hand.
And yet it became a professional bankruptcy machine.
So clearly, “less state = more wealth” is not a law.
It is a bedtime story for people who mistake textbooks for history.
Shenzhen was not born because the state disappeared.
Shenzhen was born because the Chinese state made a strategic decision:
create special economic zones,
build infrastructure,
open to capital,
connect with Hong Kong,
protect experimentation,
mobilize labor,
attract talent,
and scale success into national policy.
That is not “the state stepped aside,” it is the state building the stage and letting society perform.
If simply loosening control created miracles, Zhuhai and Shantou would have become Shenzhen too.
They did not.
Because development is not chemistry in a libertarian lab.
It needs geography, policy, infrastructure, capital, timing, labor, logistics, education, industrial planning, and state capacity.
You also bring up Korea like a schoolboy discovering a map.
South Korea was backed, protected, financed, and integrated into the Western industrial order.
North Korea was sanctioned, militarized, isolated, and forced into permanent siege logic.
Calling that a clean “market versus planning” experiment is not analysis.
It is propaganda with a calculator.
If you want a better comparison, ask why India, with more “freedom,” English, democracy branding, and earlier global courtship, did not become China.
Ask why Argentina, your own country, did not become Shenzhen.
Ask why most “free market” developing countries never built China’s infrastructure, manufacturing base, supply chains, ports, railways, power grids, or industrial depth.
The answer is simple:
Markets do not build civilization by themselves.
They need order.
They need infrastructure.
They need a capable state.
They need long-term national direction.
China’s rise was not the invisible hand.
It was the visible hand building roads, ports, factories, grids, schools, industrial zones, and supply chains — while allowing market energy to move inside a national strategy.
That is what people like you cannot understand.
You look at China and see only the market because your ideology needs the state to vanish.
But the state did not vanish.
It organized the conditions under which the market could become powerful.
Shenzhen was not proof that China stopped governing.
It was proof that China learned how to govern development.
This is Austrian-school fan fiction.
If “the state stepped aside” were enough to create Shenzhen, Argentina would be a superpower by now.
Shenzhen was not born from government absence.
It was born from state strategy:
special economic zones,
infrastructure,
Hong Kong capital,
policy protection,
talent migration,
industrial scaling,
and national coordination.
The state built the stage.
The market performed on it.
That is the part libertarian priests always erase.
Markets alone do not build ports, railways, power grids, supply chains, industrial clusters, or national development strategy.
If freedom alone created miracles, India would have become China decades ago.
If market worship created miracles, Argentina would not be a professional bankruptcy machine.
China’s rise was not “the government stopped blocking people.”
China’s rise was what happens when state capacity and market energy are fused into a national project.
Shenzhen was not the invisible hand.
It was China learning how to govern development.
You think China proved Mises right.
In reality, China buried the fantasy that markets can build a civilization without a state.
I am horrified by the deadly attack at the Islamic Center of San Diego, an apparent act of anti-Muslim violence.
Islamophobia endangers Muslim communities across this country. We must confront it directly and stand together against the politics of fear and division. My thoughts are with the victims, their loved ones, and the entire community grieving this devastating attack.
The NYPD is increasing deployments to mosques across the city out of an abundance of caution. There are currently no known threats to NYC houses of worship.
POV: you go down the Kars4Kids rabbit hole and end up watching a video of orthodox Jews chasing the official mascot of the organization, Fiveish the 5 dollar bill, through the streets of Israel because they assumed it was an antisemitic prank.
For a period of 30 years, the Chinese govt allowed ethnic Han people to only have one child in urban areas, two in rural areas. Meanwhile ethnic minorities basically could have as many as they wanted. Their proportion of the population went way up. Opposite of ethnostate.
And while she was at Harvard, she essentially ghostwrote Alan Dershowitz's "hoax" book, "The Case for Israel", a tome filled with plagiarism and extreme pro-Israel propaganda.
