We’ve elevated the wrong people to fame and wealth in Nigeria. That’s why many don’t even understand the context of what he said, they’re completely misinterpreting it.
He simply pointed out that our society tends to celebrate and reward content that isn’t educational or enriching. He used Peller as a clear example, and the fact that Peller is one of the country’s biggest streamers only proves his point.
Let’s be honest: what exactly do people learn from Peller’s streams? He never claimed it wasn’t entertainment. He also never said there’s nothing creative about what Peller or Carter Efe do. But we need to stop the “olodo” nonsense and be truthful about this.. The werey even say peller is adding value.
