They literally all say "Novelisation."

@coates_tim @SketchesbyBoze That's more words to be less specific! "The books [...] programmes" could be referring to the New Adventures from the '90s, or the EDAs/PDAs/NSAs - all original stories. "Novelisations" makes it clear that we're talking about the Target novels which directly adapt the TV stories.

@MrPingEnjoyer @TrilbeeReviews It gives BF a gap for many further Liv stories, but locks them in to that specific ending, rather than an ending stemming from her eventual actual final story, as though that's narratively satisfying. AND it leaves the love interest knowing their romance was Liv's second choice.

@MrPingEnjoyer @TrilbeeReviews Liv's love interest asks her to settle down. Liv regretfully says no and leaves in the TARDIS. Then a moment later (for us/the love interest), the TARDIS comes back, some long but unspecified time later for Liv, and she leaves to settle down after all.

@KamenKongu @JrHopeless If you do that you have to cut almost all of Carrie Fisher's last performance, including her reunion with Luke!
All of her best scenes in the film are after she "gets spaced."
I think it's pretty reasonable that the crew that knew and loved her didn't want to cut her last work.

@JosephHella2 @theworsturl @iamrobothead It's on the fuel/ignition line, and the implication seems to be that it's artificially affecting the fuel output at ignition or something.
I doubt the writers thought through the specifics in detail -- the point of the scene is primarily to set up the character relationships.

@JosephHella2 @theworsturl @iamrobothead This compressor was added by Unkar Plutt (Rey's boss) -- it wasn't there when Han and Chewie had the ship! It's a bad, nonstandard modification and Rey had firsthand knowledge of the work; she says in the film that she thought it was a mistake at the time Plutt made the change.

@romanhelmetguy If she really wanted to be culture warring to make you angry, she'd have gone with "tell me about a wayward husband" instead of "complicated man."

@romanhelmetguy Obviously the fact she's a woman shapes her translation -- translating "dmoe" as "slave;" not introducing words like "whore" (not present in the Greek!) to describe the women raped by the suitors; these are choices some other translators have made differently.
