@atutruckers@ARStatePolice And then, you have to ask, which or how many big corporations based in AR have the influence or motivation to deliver that directive to the @ARStatePolice with confidence it will be carried out???
I can think of 3! They operate in retail, protein & transportation…all 3 benefit!
@atutruckers The only reasonable explanation is that the @ARStatePolice have been instructed to not detain these ‘drivers’. How else does a logical, common-sense law enforcement officer not detain the driver & impound the truck & trailer? The AR motoring public should be raising hell!
@John__Ferguson@FreightAlley Not trying to beat you up, just explaining what brokers are up against now. Same reality trucking companies have dealt with for years! ‘No fault’ crash = carrier/insurance company being extorted for ridiculous settlements. Crash litigation is a racket! Welcome to the party…
@John__Ferguson@FreightAlley ‘Broker named in lawsuit’ may not mean automatic liability, but it will most certainly mean ‘broker or broker’s liability insurance company will pay large sums of money to keep it out of court/away from a jury’ to decide the outcome. Plaintiff attorneys are salivating!
@Blake_Lirette@KirstiTimms@FMCSA@atutruckers They have created their own elog systems thru the process that allows ‘self-certification’ of these systems and are managed by their own people from whatever country they’re from. Since they own the code, they can just add time to their clock. Totally illegal and unethical!
Probably hard for a legal American carrier to compete with, right?
Who does this benefit the most…oh, all the brokers beating truckload rates down for the last 4 years. It’s sad it took the American carriers to start the ‘enforcement ball’ rolling…where’s @FMCSA ?!
@atutruckers
Truck drivers say they were pressured to drive beyond legal limits. Daniel Sanchez says he once drove 18 hours straight and was told to keep going. https://t.co/jKmoI8z3fv
@FreightAlley@FreightAlley you are so right! 4 years of unsustainable rates have programmed all ‘traffic managers’ into believing this was actual reality. Reality bites…kinda like a pit bull!
🚨HALF OF TRUCKERS that come through weigh stations DON’T SPEAK ENGLISH!
Watch what happened during an illegal trucker crackdown with @FMCSA in Florida ⬇️⬇️ @AlexisMcAdamsTV@AmericaNewsroom
Illegals should be deported, not handed the keys to the most powerful vehicles on the road.
President Trump called for the Dalilah Act at the SOTU and I’m leading the charge to make it happen. No more illegals driving 18-wheelers. Justice for Dalilah! @pedrobrodrigue7 for @DailySignal https://t.co/EegSS1XqrO
Illegal alien truck drivers who cannot speak English would not have access to the market place if it were not facilitated by load boards and brokers who refuse to properly vet carriers.
Much more profitable to allow as many carriers as possible.
