Anthony Hopkins:

To jego ojciec napisał słowa pieśni „My, Pierwsza Brygada”. Żołnierz i poeta. Jeszcze w Kozielsku będzie śpiewał, recytował i organizował wieczory poetyckie.
Ten uczestnik wojny polsko - bolszewickiej w 1939 roku został zmobilizowany.
Bogumił będzie miał 11 lat gdy wróci do Polski. Bez matki.
Cześć i chwała Bohaterom z 1939 roku!
Niech żyje Polska! 🇵🇱

Every trader who is down believes a bigger account will win it back. There is a proof at MIT that account size changes nothing.
Tom Leighton teaches math at MIT. He also founded Akamai.
"it is almost certain you will go broke, no matter how much money you bring."
roulette pays you 47%. bring $1,000, quit at up $100, and the chance you get there before going broke is under 1 in 37,000. bring a million, or a billion - it does not move. it depends on how much you want to win, never on what you bring.
the drift is small and steady, the swings loud and random. over enough bets the drift always wins. capital only buys it more time to finish you.
MIT filmed it and left it up for free. 78 minutes. Years online, and almost nobody has ever used a line of it.
the edge was never the size of your account. it is the sign of the drift. watch it, and don't forget this.

In 1979 a talk show host tried to corner a Nobel economist on live television about greed. Two minutes later the professor had taken him apart so cleanly that the clip is still passed around 45 years after it aired.
His name was Milton Friedman. He won the Nobel Prize in economics in 1976 and spent decades at the University of Chicago shaping how governments around the world think about money.
The host leaned in with the question everyone thinks is a trap. Isn't capitalism just built on greed. Friedman did not flinch. He asked one question back that flipped the whole room. Tell me, is there some society you know that does not run on greed.
His point was simple and it stings. There is no system run by angels. The question is never whether people chase their own interest. They always will. The only question is whether the rules push that self interest into building things other people actually want.
The footage is grainy. The suit is from another era. The argument has not aged a day.
Did you know that the secret to Prussia's 18th-century fortune was that Frederick II counterfeited millions of coins of the Crown of the Kingdom of Poland, stealing genuine Polish coins? The supposed "Enlightenment ruler" was a forger and thief, and Prussia a parasite.

Booking Tony Robbins today costs $1 million for a single day. this is a 21-minute tape from inside his own house, filmed over 30 years ago, where he breaks down exactly how to get anyone to say yes. same $1 million material. completely free.
this is a rare, unfiltered tape from decades before this man started charging billionaires just to be in the room with him.
people give you two excuses when they say no, he says. not enough time. not enough money. neither is true. the real reason is they don't believe it's worth it yet, and that's not a money problem, that's a state problem.
so he teaches something he calls attack and confess. instead of arguing with the objection, you confess your own. "I had a chance to go to this thing six months ago and I didn't go until two months ago," he tells the room. "I can't even imagine the time I lost." the room goes quiet. nobody argues back.
he calls it getting someone on the yes train. every small yes you get compounds into the next one, until saying no to the final ask feels harder than saying yes. by the time he asks someone to sign, he says, they've already agreed to it five times over without realizing it.
21 minutes. that's all it takes to walk away knowing the exact two moves people pay $1 million a day to learn: how to read anyone's state, and how to move it. most people spend years in sales guessing at this. he wrote it down on a flip chart in his living room in under half an hour.
a seat in that room cost $125 back then. today it's a $1 million-a-day to sit in front of him.
The tape is free right now, and the answer is in this video.
The richest investor on earth walked into a room of MBA students and explained in 84 minutes why most of them will fail. for free. the finance industry has spent 28 years pretending nobody recorded it.
his name is Warren Buffett. in 1998 he sat in front of a class at the University of Florida and gave away the entire framework he used to turn a few thousand dollars into over $100 billion. no slides. no prepared remarks. just a chair and a microphone.
the first thing he says is the one sentence no financial advisor will ever repeat to your face: diversification is protection against ignorance. if you know what you are doing, it makes no sense. he held fewer than ten positions for most of his career.
then he tells the room something that changes how you think about money forever. he says if he could buy 10% of any student's future earnings, he would pick the person everyone trusts, not the person with the highest grades. character compounds. grades do not.
MBA programs charge $200,000 to teach portfolio theory. he sat in a chair and said the entire theory is wrong. for free. to a room full of people paying $200,000 to learn it.
84 minutes. one chair. no textbook. the man worth more than most countries gave the entire method away. almost nobody has watched it.
Milton Friedman on 4 ways to spend money:
1) Your money on yourself (you’re careful about both cost and quality)
2) Your money on others (you care about cost, less about quality)
3) Someone else’s money on yourself (you care about quality, not cost)
4) Someone else’s money on others (you care about neither)
The last one is how government spending works.

Zamordowane w Rzezi Woli. Przed rozstrzelaniem śpiewały Hymn Polski...
82 lata temu – 5 sierpnia 1944 roku – rozpoczęła się Rzeź Woli. W ciągu trzech dni Niemcy zamordowali od 30 do 60 tysięcy cywilów.
Tego dnia, w grupie 1200 rannych i personelu szpitala św. Łazarza, zamordowane zostały młodziutkie sanitariuszki AK i ich instruktorka.
