@coach_wendell Yes, if you take away the 2 from Henson then Lovett shouldn’t get the 1 for the reversal because he would have scored last in that exchange. That would make the final score 12-12 and Henson wins on criteria.
@wrestlingnomad@sockobuw That is one of the concerns I would have. The immediate gaming of ride guy to the edge, let him out near the boundary and force him out so the stepout counters the escape point.
This was fitting since the @NCAAWrestling Championships is over. Much respect to everyone laying on the line and to the senior thank you for leaving a lasting impact on our great sport.
@MatSavant Haven’t thought deeply enough about the solution, but that makes sense. Only the low end, I’m guessing the spots are more evenly distributed, while the 1 seeds are very skewed to one conference. What if you looked at average “opportunity”?
@MatSavant There is also some inherent bias in those numbers as the conference that has a disproportionate share of 1 seeds can’t outperform those spots.
@wrestlingnomad I would say way more than solid.
Losses:
Injury default
2-1 to Meyer
4-2 to Antrell (late td)
4-2 to Duke (had opportunities)
I think he is right there with the top tier and can’t be convinced otherwise
